Baking or cooking in general is not really something I enjoy but D absolutely loves it so I’m trying hard to do more with him.
We had lots of very ripe Bananas left over at the end of last week so I decided to make banana cake with him.
3 ripe Bananas
1 teaspoon vanillia essence
A pinch of salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
Mix the butter & sugar together. Add the milk, eggs, bananas & vanilla essence & mix. Add the flour, baking powder & salt & mix well.
Transfer the mixture into a square tin & bake for 35 minutes at 180.
D had fun mashing up the bananas
He added the butter piece by piece
He poured in the milk
making sure every last little drop went in.
He had fun cracking the eggs. We did have to do some shell fishing!
He helped me mix everything together
I think his favourite part was getting to draw in the flour that he had spilt!
After asking every couple of seconds if it was finished, he finally got to eat some and it seemed to be a success!
