Brunch in Bad Homburg!

We were in Bad Homburg for the Mothers corner bazzar last Saturday so decided to have a child free brunch whilst we were out.
My friend made a reservation at Cafe Klatsch which is situated on the main Shopping street in bad Homburg.

They have quite a big & varied menu.
It was really difficult to chose

In the end I went for the Französisch breakfast option.
This was quark, 2 different cheeses, 2 eggs in a glass( which were cooked to perfection) & a bread basket with 5 slices of fresh baguette & a croissant with 2 different jams.
As I’m not a coffee or tea drinker I went for the hot chocolate which was pretty standard.

My friend went for the Deftiges frühstück which was an Omelette with potato & bacon and came with bread & butter.
She also had a cherry & banana juice.

Unbelievably we still had room for something sweet!

So after taking a look at what was on offer I opted for the Kaiserschmarrn which was amazing. It tasted sooooo good that even though the portion was huge(enough easily for 2) I managed to finish it all!
If you are a fan of Kaiserschmarrn I would definitely recommend this.

My friend had the Apfelstrudel with icecream.
This was also a big portion & she said it tasted as yummy as it looked!

If I was looking for brunch in Bad Homburg again I would definitely head back to cafe Klatsch. All the food was extremely tasty, with generous portions, reasonably priced & it had a busy but at the same time chilled atmosphere.
I would be interested in returning & checking out their Sunday brunch which is available Sunday’s from 10am-2pm.
I don’t know what its like on week days but I would strongly advise making a reservation at the weekends as whilst we were there as soon as a table became free it was taken again and lots of people arrived and were turned away!

There were quite a few family’s with toddlers there & from a child friendly point of view I would say it would be somewhere where I would  bring D now but not when he was super young & spent a lot of time sleeping in the buggy, as in the cafe itself there was no room for buggy’s .I noticed that some people had put their buggy’s in a space out the back of the cafe. They had highchairs but no baby changing.

Its open Monday-Wednesday 8am-11.30pm, Thursday & Fridays 8am-12.30am, Saturdays 9am-12.30am & Sundays 10am-7pm.
