We had a great day out recently at the Barfußpfad in Bad Sobernheim with some friends.
The walk is a 3500 meter round trip
At the start are lockers which cost €1, a place to leave your shoes & a changing room.
The first station was a favourite with all of us, especially the boys.
Trying to take a photo of our feet with 3 wriggly boys!
The water station was also a favourite
Its a great place for young kids to burn of some of that never ending energy!
About half way round you can decide to cross over the river using a wooden bridge or by going through the river. We chose to go through the river but beware the current is actually pretty strong & it did get a little scary & at one point I really wished I had taken the bridge so if you have small kids I would recommend taking the bridge.
Just before crossing back over the river there is a play ground
With a maze
Climbing frame & slide
You can cross back over on the wobbly bridge or on a pull boat.
We used the bridge then later we went back across and then back again on the boat.
At the start there is a kiosk which serves hot & cold food, ice creams & drinks.
We treated ourselves to a really tasty dinner of Bratwurst & Pommes.
There is plenty of seating.
The boys requested going back in the mud
Luckily there is a shower area!
We all had a really great time here & D cant stop talking about the mud!
Highly recommend this for a fun family day out.
For adults its €4
Children 3+ €2.50
Under 3’s are free
